Privacy Policy
We collect your name, contact details, property address and whatever you tell us about the building, for one purpose: quoting and carrying out masonry work. It goes into our customer records and nowhere else. We do not sell it, we do not trade it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by calling or emailing.
The short version
Three sentences cover most of it. We collect contact and property information so we can quote your job and do the work. We keep it in our own customer records and share it with nobody except where the law requires. You can ask for a copy or ask us to delete it, and we will do that.
Everything below is the detail.
Where your information reaches us
Through the quote form. The form asks for your name, phone number, email address, the property address and a description of the problem. It also records the time of submission and runs two spam checks, one hidden field that people do not see and a timing check, both of which exist to filter automated submissions.
Through a phone call. When you call the number on this site we take down the same information by hand. If you leave a voicemail we keep the message until the enquiry is closed out.
Through photographs you send. Many people attach pictures of a crack or a chimney. Those images and anything visible in them come to us the same way the rest of the enquiry does.
Through the site itself. Your browser sends an IP address and technical details to whatever serves the page, the same as on every website. We do not build profiles from it.
Why we hold each piece of it
Contact details let us reach you to arrange a visit and send the estimate. The property address lets us check the age of the building, look up whether it sits in a historic district, and work out access and travel. Your description and photographs let us prepare properly before we arrive. Once you become a customer, the same record carries the scope, the mortar specification, the schedule, the invoice and the workmanship warranty.
That last point matters. A warranty is only useful if somebody can find the job it applies to, so warranty records outlive the enquiry by design.
Who else sees it
Our own customer records system, which is a CRM used only by this business, and nothing beyond that. We do not sell contact details. We do not pass enquiries to lead brokers. We do not share your information with other trades unless you have asked us to bring one in, and then only what that trade needs to do its part.
The narrow exceptions are ordinary ones. A payment processor sees what it must to take a payment. An accountant or auditor sees invoice records as part of normal bookkeeping. A court order or a lawful request from a public authority is complied with.
How long we keep things
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for around two years and then deleted. That window exists because masonry problems come back, and people often call again the following spring about the same wall.
Completed job records are kept for the length of the workmanship warranty plus the period required for tax and accounting, which in practice means several years. Photographs of the work are kept as part of the job record. If we want to use a photograph of your building for marketing we will ask you first and you can say no without it affecting anything.
Cookies and analytics
This site is built as static pages and it does not need cookies to function. If analytics are running, they are there to count page views and see which pages people find useful. Any analytics or consent notice in use on the site will say so at the time. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell audience data to anybody.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, state privacy law may give you the right to know what personal information a business holds about you, to get a copy of it, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Several US states have passed laws of this kind, and the protections differ between them. We apply the same approach to everyone who contacts us regardless of which state they live in, because running two standards is more trouble than it is worth.
To exercise any of this, call the number on this site or email us. Say what you want: a copy, a correction, or deletion. We will confirm who you are, which usually means matching the property address to the record, and then act on it. There is no charge.
If you ask us to delete everything while a job is live or a warranty is running, we will explain what we have to keep for tax or warranty purposes and delete the rest.
Children
This is a masonry business. Our services are for property owners and managers, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update it on this page. Material changes to how we handle information will be described here rather than made quietly.
